Maoist posters leave cops in a tizzy

BHUBANESWAR: Campaign materials purportedly of the Maoists found in Jaydev Vihar area of the city has left the commissionerate police in a tizzy. Today’s developments along with posters found in Rental Colony and VIP Area of the City a couple of days back have given credence to the possibilities of the Naxalites entering the capital city.


Unidentified youths had came on bikes and left the posters in the two contiguous residential areas on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the secretary of the Orissa State Organising Committee of CPI (Maoist) in a statement released here asserted that the posters found in the capital city were distributed by the party.

Meanwhile, combing operations by the police on the ourskirts of the city continued without any success. However, the Government was silent on the issue. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ignored the matter while replying to the debate on the supplementary budget.
