Chatra (Jharkhand), Jan 3 Former Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi today said while the Shibu Soren-led UPA government was repeating the call for dialogue with the Naxalites, it was neglecting state&aposs development process.
"The Chief Minister has time to talk with the Naxalites, but has no time to address the needs of the people,"the Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic) chief said while addressing a public meeting here.
Demanding a probe into the alleged release of two Naxalites last month that rocked the winter session of the house, Marandi appealed to the people to defeat both the UPA and NDA in the upcoming lok sabha elections.
Marandi, who represents Lok Sabha as an independent candidate, was referring to Soren&aposs call for dialogue with Naxalites from several platforms during his short rule.
Accusing Soren government of indulging in corruption, Marandi cited the file of FIR by the Vigilance Department against two former ministers, who were sacked by the CM last month, as the proof of&aposwidespread corruption&apos.
Marandi, who floated his own party after falling out with the BJP about two years ago, is on a campaign trail across the state in the run up to the general elections.
