Sundargarh: Panic gripped the district when the police found hand-written posters in Talsara Assembly constituency along the Jharkhand border areas .The Maoists even fixed a poster on the Talsara police station signboard. The posters were in Jharkhandi (colloquial Hindi) and stated the nine point charter of traditional demands of the Maoists and displayed the signature of Lal Salam on a letter head of ‘Maobadi Trishul Machdur’ and were pasted on the walls of Balishankara and Sabdega block offices. The posters reiterated the demands of Jal, Jungle and Zameen and threatened the tribals to refrain from liquor or else their hands would be chopped off.

They also warned the liquor vend owners that if they were found be carrying on their business they would be decapitated. But there was no call for poll boycott. The SDPO has rushed to the spot on the directions of Sundargarh SP Narsinga Bhol.
