Maoists attack railway station

Bhubaneswar, DHNS:

Suspected Maoists attacked and ransacked a railway station in Orissa’s tribal dominated Koenjhar district late on Sunday night triggering fear among the local people in the area.


According to reports, nearly hundred naxalites armed with sticks, swords and guns arrived in Sagarpeta station and ransacked it after locking the staff members in one room. While fleeing from the spot, they looted eight mobile phones, around Rs 50,000 from the staff, besides taking away a lap top.
