Published: July 1,2009

Two Maoists, wanted in connection with at least seven cases in Orissa, were brought here on remand from neighbouring Jharkhand.

" Megha alias Dilipnath Sahoo and Tulasi alias Tanu Sahoo had been arrested by Sesai police in Jharkhand's Gumla district," Bonai sub-divisional police officer Sudarshan Sethi said. The duo were brought here by Orissa police on remand last night, he said.

The involvement of the two persons in Maoist activities in Sundergarh came to light after confession of a Naxal Lalan Khan, arrested recently from Onai area here. Lalan told police that he was acting under the directions of Megha and Tulsi.
