Chandrapur: Three men posing as Naxalites abducted and molested three women staffers of a residential ashram school at village Rangi in Dhanora
tehsil of Gadchiroli on Wednesday night.

The Naxalites have been celebrating martyr's week from July 28. Taking the advantage of this occasion, three unidentified youths dressed as Naxalites reached the government ashram school run by Integrated Tribal Development Department at village Rangi on bikes around 11pm on Wednesday.

The trio thrashed the male staffers including the head master, two assistant teachers and security guard, and asked them to bring petrol needed for the meeting of Naxal leaders underway in the nearby jungles. The male staffers dispersed to carry out the different orders given by the Naxals.

The three Naxalites' then took three female staffers, including the school superintendent and assistant teachers, separately into the jungle by force. These women staffers were reportedly molested by the youths and then allowed to return during the predawn hours.

Meanwhile, when the male staffers came back to the school and found the female staffers missing they raised an alarm. However, the terrorized villagers did not respond to the calls for help. The victims have reportedly lodged a complaint in this regard with the Integrated Tribal Development Officer and criminal offences were being registered.
