New Delhi: The Naxals have blown up a stretch of railway track in Jharkhand's Giridih district on Tuesday morning. Train services on this section have been stopped for now. Today is the third day of the 72-hour bandh called by Maoists in Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.
The Naxals are protesting a proposed offensive against them by the Centre. Tuesday's attack comes after Naxals blew up a railway track in Sundargarh in Orissa -- disrupting train services on the Howrah-Mumbai route.
On Sunday also, Naxals blew up railway tracks in Jamui in Bihar disrupting rail traffic between north India and Howrah.
