Two Naxalite groups clash with arms

LOHARDAGA: Two Naxalite outfits were engaged in a gunfight in the dense forests between Makka and Ambapawa under Jobang police station in Lohardaga district on Wednesday afternoon. The area is on the border of Lohardaga and Latehar districts.

D K Verma, officer-in-charge of Jobang PS, said CPI(Maoist), led by zonal commander Nakul Yadav clashed with Jharkhand Chhattisgarh Simant Committee, its splinter group, led by Sanjay Yadav.

Police forces from both Lohardaga and Latehar districts were in search of the Naxalites belonging to Siram and Jobang. The Latehar police force was being led by Ravi Kant, in-charge of Latehar PS. According to police, there were no casualties on either side.
