Hard core Maoist surrendered before Orissa Police

Report by Nabinananda Gantayat, Paralakhemundi : Hard core Maoist Jayadeb Majhi has surrendered here on Wednesday before the Superintendent of Police Sanjib Arora. He is a resident of Raiganta area of Adaba . The red rebel, identified as Jayadev Majhi (22), alias Bulu was an active member of the Ghumusar Division of the Maoists.

Notably, he is also said to be a close aide of dreaded Maoist leader Azad. Bulu parted ways with the Maoist outfit after facing lot of humiliation and problems, Sanjeev Arora, Gajapati Superintendent of Police told.

According to Arora, the ultra was involved in a series of violent Maoist offensives, including the attack upon the Banigandi forest beat house in 2009, landmine blast at Mandari Ghati. Bulu has also confessed to his crime.
