Maoist damage mobile phone tower, IMFL shop

THE BANDH calls by CPI Maoist from 24th April for seven days has forced the government to cancel movement of all the OSRTC buses from Koraput to Malkangiri and Malkangiri to all other Routes from today (24th April) to avoid untoward incidents.

The miscreants suspected to be the members of Maoists felled trees across the road at Govindapalli and on the way to Chitrokonda from Malkangiri. Earlier on Friday an Airtel mobile communication tower was damaged and they also destroyed a shop selling India made foreign liquor shop at Kudumuluguma in Malkangiri District.

On 24th they damaged agriculture office and school building at Podapadar under Narayanpatna block which is meant for other then the purpose to be used they claim through wall posters (to provide shelter to BSF). The school building and agriculture office building at Narayanpatna under Koraput district another school building at Govindapalli under Malkangiri districthave turned into police barracks. Meanwhile, the BSF personnel's posted in Koraput and Malkangiri have started their anti naxal operation.

Towns and villages under Koraput and Malkangiri district are being searched for suspicious outsiders. The boarders of Malkangiri and Koraput district with Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have been sealed to prevent the entry of Maoist before the week long Bandh call. The bus route towards Bhubaneswar from Koraput via Rayagada is diverted towards Andhra Pradesh. The speed limit of trains is reduced from Koraput to Rayagada according to the official source of information.
