Kolkata (Agencies): Breaking News! The Maoists, who killed 76 CRPF personnel in the Mukram forest in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on April 6, have expressed "sympathy" to the victims' families and offered compensation.

In addition to this outrageous offer, the naxals also warned of more attacks like Silda and Dantewada in future. They also threatened to kill politicians and bureaucrats, who oppose them.

The Maoists issued a statement with the signature of Comrade Bikram. The leaflets were circulated in the Purulia district of West Bengal.

The statement said that the family members of slain CRPF personnel can contact them to get adequate compensation. It could be recalled that the families of the CRPF personnel would receive Rs 38 lakh each as part of the compensation package announced by the Centre, CRPF and state government.

The Maoists also urged the family members of security personnel and police offers to call them back home and persuade them not to take part in anti-naxal operation. It was part of a psychological warfare played by the Maoists
