Naxals kill 3 villagers in Narayanpur

Raipur, July 1:
Armed Maoists today killed three villagers of Edka in Narayanpur district suspecting them to be police informers, police said.
The victims' bodies were still lying in the village which is located 10 km from Narayanpur district headquarters.
''In view of Tuesday's Central Reserve Police Force massacre in the district, we are taking all necessary precautions for recovering the bodies as the Naxals usually plant pressure bombs on the bodies to inflict maximum casualty,'' a senior police officer said.
A CRPF camp located in the village had also been alerted, the sources said.
The armed ultras massacred 27 CRPF personnel and injured seven others in an ambush at Dhodai, about 35 km from Narayanpur district headquarters.

4 Maoists held
Four Maoists, allegedly involved in a recent killing of six villagers in Manpur, have been arrested, police said today.
The Naxals were nabbed following raids in Teregaon and Unchapur villages last night by Special Task Force (STF) and police.
Three crude bombs, bundle of wires, explosives, pamphlets and other naxal literature were seized from their hideouts.
The ultras were identified as Naru, Baishakhu, Haju and Prabhuram, who were accused of killing Teregaon Sarpanch and five others of the same village on May 15.
