Bihar: CPI (Maoist) zonal commander held

Jehanabad, Oct. 15 (PTI): In a major catch ahead of the first phase of Bihar Assembly polls on October 18, the police arrested a zonal commander of the banned CPI (Maoist) from the outskirts of Jehanabad town on Friday.

Police sources said that Shatrughan Yadav alias Murali was arrested from a village on the outskirts of this district headquaters town. They, however, refused to disclose the place of arrest and said that no weapons were found on him.

Yadav was wanted in over a dozen criminal cases, including that of making an abortive attempt on the life of Police Superintendent, Anil Kishore Yadav, some time ago.
