Govt. directs administration to remain alert

In the wake of the recent killing of 12 police personnel, the Jharkhand government has alerted the district administration and police to keep vigil on naxalites during the ongoing Durga Puja festival.
Chief Secretary P P Sharma has directed the district authorities to arrange round-the-clock patrolling in naxalite-dominated areas and inform the state heaquarters in case of any incident.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangments has been made in the capital town to prevent any untoward incident during the festival.

The Chief Secretary also directed the state electricity board to maintain uninterupted power supply during the festival.
