JAMSHEDPUR: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi on Sunday strongly pleaded for a dialogue with extremist organisations to end the increasing naxal menace in Jharkhand.

“Bloodbath or repressive measures are not the solution to the problem, but a dialogue with the ultra outfit can bring about an amicable solution,” Marandi, MP and Chief of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (democratic), told a press conference here.

Criticising the NDA and UPA governments for failing to initiate steps in this direction, he said common people of the state wanted to get rid of the corruption-ridden UPA government at the earliest and favoured a better government.

He said JVM would initiate steps to bring misguided youth back to the mainstream if the party was voted to power.
