Six naxals surrender in Maharashtra

Nagpur, Aug 26 (PTI) Six naxalites, including four women members, surrendered before the Gadchiroli police, police said today.

The naxalites, who belonged to village protection group Gram Rakshak Dal, laid down arms before police on Saturday.

They were identified as Ranu (25), Jaini (25), Anusay (20), Rekha (20) along with Diwakar and Sitaram, police said.

They were involved in a number of crimes.

They were produced before a committee headed by district collector Niranjan Kumar Sudhanshu and SP Rajesh Pradhan.
