COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu BJP today warned the state government to be cautious and vigilant on the increasing activities of the Naxals and LTTE, which would prove dangerous in the near future.

Even as the law and order situation started deteriorating in the state, considering the recent murders and dacoity and attacks on political leaders, presence of these two groups or their supporters would add to the security threat, BJP State president, L Ganesan alleged at a press conference here.

Referring to the arrests of Naxals in Theni district of th state, Ganesan asked the Government to keep strict vigil on forest areas of Coimbatore district and Western Ghats, for the possible hideouts of the group.
He said it was a fact that LTTE activists and their close aides were present in the state and two LTTE cadres were arrested recently in the state.
