Jamshedpur: Ultra outfit CPI (Maoist) have set ablaze the posters of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and blocked road between Chakulia and Sisakund in the naxal-hit Ghatsila sub-division of East Singhbhum district, police said today.

A group of Maoists blocked the road after allegedly ransacking JMM party offices last night, sub-divisional police officer Anup Birtheray said.

The ultras have removed posters and flags of the party and set it on fire. They have also pasted posters in JMM offices in support of their poll boycott call, he said.

A police team has rushed to the spot to investigate the incident, he said.

Of the six Assembly segments in the district, the remaining three assembly constituencies, Baharagora, Ghatsila and Potka (both reserved) under Ghatsila sub-division will go to polls in the fourth phase on 12th December.

Earlier, polling for the three other constituencies, Jamshedpur East and Jamshedpur West and Jugsalai was held in the first phase on 25th November.
